Small fire
ON Sunday, May 18, police were called to assist local CFA members with a small fire along the Murray River in Koondrook.
The witness who reported the incident had seen some young people in the vicinity.
CFA extinguished the blaze.
There was damage to a small area of bushland but none to property.
An exploded deodorant can was located in what looked like a small homemade campsite.
Diesel theft
BETWEEN 4.30pm on May 14, and 7.30am on May 15, unknown offenders stole fuel and items from road plant equipment parked at the intersection of Keely and Station roads, Cohuna.
Offenders removed fuel caps to an Isuzu tanker truck, roller and a grader and stole about 400 litres of diesel from the vehicles.
The following items were taken from the tanker: 20 tonne jack and jack accessories, truck wheel brace, set of 10 spanners 10mm-24mm, Stilson adjustable spanner 450mm long, Philips and flat head screwdriver, ball-peen hammer, 10m air hose with clip on tyre inflator and gauge, straight podgy bar, bucket of fittings and adaptors for 100mm hoses, yard broom, long handled shovel, 200 litre fuel pod with blue lid and a fire extinguisher.
Theft from motor vehicle
ON May 15 between 6.30pm and 7.30pm, offenders accessed a black Ford Focus in Fitzroy Street, Kerang, and stole an Apple MacBook laptop valued at $1500.
