KERANG is ratcheting up for its biggest Show and Shine yet.
This year includes the new award category of auto-vlog awards, for Australian YouTubers who make car and bike content.
Screening will take place at the Woolshed on Wellington Street, Kerang, from 9am to 12pm on Saturday.
The new addition has attracted more than 35 entries from automobile vloggers across the country.
After, lunch gates will open at the racecourse to register for the poker run – where drivers receive a card at each different destination with the best hand winning at the end of the day.
From 6pm Saturday, a barbecue and band will play into the night for event goers and campers.
Sunday will feature rare and vintage mopars – cars based on the legacy of iconic Chryslers.
Throughout the festival Harley Davidson evolution motorcycles, which have a cult following among the motorcycling community, will be front-and-centre.
Event committee member Mark Arians said you don’t have to be a motor enthusiast to get a real kick out of the day.
“Even if you’re not into cars or bikes, it’s just pretty spectacular,” he said.
“There are cars and bikes coming from across the country that otherwise you just wouldn’t see.
“Particularly with the Harley Davidson evolution festival it’s a real community atmosphere and when they rock up, they all know each other.
“Ninety-nine per cent of people who ride bikes work nine-to-five jobs and just enjoy riding with their friends on the weekend.
“It’s just a real friendly get-together of people who are interested in bikes and cars, and a great family day out.”
Food and drinks will be available, with a number of food trucks parked up for the weekend.
More than 25 trophies will be awarded to cars and bikes of different makes and models.
Tickets for the whole weekend’s festivities are $30, with entry on Sunday $10.
Tickets are free for kids under 16-years.
