Ladies Stableford – Wednesday, September 25

Only eight ladies braved the cold and wind to play golf last week, with Meryl Cameron (21) having the best score with 36 points, followed by Shirley Jenner (23) with 33 points and Michelle Dillon (11) on 32 points.

R&R Stableford Thursday, September 26

Twenty-four men played Stableford in some cold and windy conditions last week, with two men finishing the day tied on 38 points.

Rob Fabry was the day’s winner via a countback ahead of John Pay, with others in the ball pool being Kevin Lane (37), Alan Free (36) and Graham Wyte (35).

The nearest-the-pins went to Jack Hewitt (3rd), Kevin Lane (5th and 9th), Rob Fabry (13th) and Tony Laughlin (16th).

Our sponsors for this event were Visual Appeal and Beds R Us Kerang, with 64 golfers playing in perfect golf conditions.

The winners, with a great score of 54, were Luke Hadfield, Barry Galadman and Chris and Jenny Waterson, while the runners-up, with a score of 58.625, were Joe Tartaglia, Angela Giouzellis and Brian and Derek Gibson.

The nearest-the-pins were won by Michelle Dillon and Chris Waterson (3rd super-pin), Doug Meehan, Derek Gibson (5th), Dave Gray (13th) and Steve Phillips (16th).

The nearest-the-line was won by Geraldine Kennedy and Chris Gray, while the longest drive was won by Jenny Waterson and Brian Gibson.
