Have a coffee and paint a pot

A COFFEE and create workshop will be held at Lake Charm Hall next Tuesday, June 25, with participants painting terracotta pots under the guidance of the team from Dandy Lion Studio in Swan Hill.

Hosted by Northern District Community Health and supported by the Gannawarra Shire Council flood recovery funding, morning tea, pots and materials are provided, with no art experience needed to take part.

Dandy Lion Studio owner Nina McNamara said this is the fifth session in the current series with the first in Cohuna for International Women’s Day, then Boort, Quambatook and Kerang.

“The response has been fantastic, and the workshops have been so well received, it is so nice to be in a room full of people that enjoy themselves with lots of chatter and laughter,” Ms McNamara said.

“People only really need to rock up and have a good time while painting a pot, we love using the pots because it will continue to give you joy.

“It has been a huge success with between 10 and 20 people attending each session.”

The sessions are based on the five pillars of wellbeing which are Connect, Be Active, Keep Learning, Be Aware and Help Others.

Bookings are essential as places are limited, and can be organised online https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1214983
