Down the Fairways

Kerang

SHORT report this week due to no play because of rain.

A good field played on Saturday in the Greenwood Mugge, and the course was in great condition after the course closure.

Great work was carried out by our band of volunteers to get the course ready for play.

Most fairways were under water and needed to be drained. This took many days to achieve, but we all say thank you.

The winner of the Mugge was Blake Shay with 37 points and the ladies winner of the Goblet was Michelle Dillon with 34 points.

Others in the ball pool were D. Meehan 35, G. Teasdale, C. Waterson, J. Hewitt and G. Pay all on 33.

Nearest to pin went to C. Waterson the 3rd, R. Dick the 5th, J. Hewitt the 9th, P. Jones the 13th and the 16th to D. Gray.

Winners of the match play event were Phil Lloyd and Peter Jones.

Don’t forget Australia Day golf on Friday, January 26.

Hopefully the gods of golf will make sure that not too much rain falls on the course in the near future.
