Supermarket break-in

POLICE are hunting two men who burgled a Kerang supermarket, stealing cigarettes and alcohol.

The pair broke into the Victoria Street store about 4.38am on July 9.

They later drove off in a light-coloured sedan.

The woman went to a self-service checkout about 8.10pm on July 1 but failed to pay for all the items, worth $62.

She was arrested a short time later.

Danger tracks

POLICE say a female driver will be charged with dangerous driving in Gunbower State Forest last week.

Police were patrolling the forest about 3.20pm on July 8 when they saw a white Mitsubishi driving along tracks in a dangerous manner.

Officers followed the vehicle for “some time” until it came to a quick stop, when two males got out. The Mitsubishi then drove off.

Police took statements from the passengers.
