IT’S been a very quiet week on the bowls scene, partly due to the weather and partly because many bowlers travelled to Deniliquin for the King’s Birthday weekend carnival.
Last Tuesday the weather cleared about lunchtime to a fine, sometimes sunny, afternoon. Nineteen players turned up and the winners were Rick, Maurie and Corale. Congratulations on good bowling.
Thursday’s popular pie and soup competition was cancelled due to the significant rain that fell on Wednesday, making the greens unfit for play.
Because of the Deniliquin trip, there were no bowls or social events over the weekend. More news next week.
