ON ladies Wednesday golf, 10 ladies entered the day’s competition, with heavy conditions which made for difficult scoring.

Shirley Jenner made the most of it to score net 72, Carol Dear was runner-up with net 73.

Chino’s NTP 9th went to Rosie Laughlin and Angela Morton won the putting competition.

Thursday’s R&R Stableford event attracted 17 players on an overcast, dull day.

Kevin Chase emerged as the winner on a countback from Allan “Poddy” Free with 37 points. Ball pool went to Terry Turvey on 35 and Gary Pay on 34.

NTPs went on the 5th to P Jones, the 9th and 16th to G Wyte and 13th to K Chase.

For Saturday’s Greenwood Mugge, a small field was the order of the day as golfers chose to either go to the races or stay home due to other Easter activities.

The Greenwood Mugge winner was Kevin Lane with 37 points and the runner-up was Chris Waterson with 36 points.

The Ladies’ Goblet winner was Mabel Spitty with a one-point (33) win over older sister Olive (32). Ball pool went to R Gannon 35, A Free and R Nesbit 33.

NTPs went on the 3rd to R Nesbit, the 9th to C Waterson, the 13th to O Spitty. The 5th and 16th went begging again.
