THE captain had a day out at ladies golf on Wednesday winning the Monthly Medal Shirt with 83-17=74 from Meryl Cameron 94-17=77.

Ball pool was Rhonda Willoughby 104-26=78, Rhonda also won the least putts with 29. Michelle won the Chino’s 9th NTP.

Congratulations to our Pennant team that won the flag last Sunday. Next Week hit-off is 9.30am, good golfing.

R&R Stableford on Thursday had 23 members played in very pleasant conditions, the course was in great shape, thanks to our volunteers.

Luke Hadfield won the day with 38 points on a countback from Terry Turvey also on 38 points. Ball pool saw Chris Waterson, 37, T Laughlin and Poddy Free, both on 34. Luke had the best stroke score on the day with 78.

NTPs went to Chris Gray on the 3rd, A Free on the 9th and Ron Thoulliss on the 13th. The 5th and 16th went begging. Ray Taylor our regular visitor from Boort took home a new pen.

At Saturday golf, Brendan Shields (12) had a day from work so he decided to play golf and what a wise choice it was, winning the day and the monthly medal with a net 69.

In the ladies comp Jan Harry (11), who has been on the cusp for a while now, finally came through to win with a net 69. The ball pool was Doug Meehan (7) and Tony Laughlin (9) on 70 net, Michelle Dillon (9), Joe Tartaglia (13), Gavin Teasdale (10) and Graham Wyte (11), all on net 71, got the rest of the balls.

Those that played the best shots on the par 3s were Peter Jones on the 3rd, Joe Tartaglia 5th, Scott Harry 9th, Tony Laughlin using his driver won the 16th and Ron Schultze won the money on the 13th. Doug Meehan and Chris Waterson had the best stroke scores with 77 each and John Murphy had a day to forget winning the pen.

Our McLardy McShane Clark 4P Ambrose drew a crowd of over 50 golfers to enjoy the wonderful weather that was presented on the day.

The winners were the team of Brad Short, Brad Cummings, Nathan Orr and Jordan Simpson with 63-8=54 for a good win. Luke Hadfield, Mick O’Reilly, Brian Powell and Paul Jackson were runner-up with 63-5=58.

Nearest the pins were Ron Schultze 3rd, Jan Harry 5th, Tony Laughlin 9th, Brian Powell 13th and Tony Hall on the 16th. Thanks to Jim Clark for sponsoring the day and to the visitors from Barham, Echuca, Lakeside and Lalbert for their presence on the day.
