AT ladies golf last Wednesday, the field of 12 really enjoyed the cooler conditions.
The winner of the Stableford event was Jean Youl with 32 points. Chrissy Downes was runner-up on a countback.
Michelle Dillon was in the ball pool with 31 points. Carol Dear was also in the ball pool with 29 points on a countback from Nola Robinson.
Jan Harry had a lovely shot on the 9th to win nearest the pin and score a birdie.
Jill Marshall was happy to receive a new pen for her not so good efforts. Next week 9am for 9.30am start.
Again, good numbers for Thursday golf and the winner was Kevin Lane (16) with 37 points from Joe Tartaglia (13) on 36.
Those in the ball pool were Joe Tartaglia, Ron Schultze (21) also on 36, Peter Jones (15) and Bryan Livingston (17) both on 35, NTPs were Ken Williams on the 3rd and 5th, Kevin Lane 9th, Joe Tartaglia 13th and Brendan Shields 16th. Men’s day is always Thursday and assembly is noon for a 12.45pm hit-off. Mark Henderson managed to win the pen for the day.
Twilight golf was again played in warm weather and the winner was Col Wilkie with 37– 4.5=32.5 to have a good win over Pat Featonby 46–11.1=34.9. Nobody managed to get on any of the par 3s.
An old member has re-joined the club and good to see Dale Hall back.
Another good turnout of golfers for Saturday golf and the winner on countback from two others was Doug Meehan (8) on 40 points from Kevin Sambrooks (15) and Gav Teasdale (11).
Ladies’ winner was again Jenny Waterson (16) also on 40 points, a comfortable win over Michelle Dillon (9) on 36.
Ball pool was Kevin Sambrooks, Gavin Teasdale, Col Wilkie (9) 38, Luke Hadfield (11), Greg Gin (17) – welcome back from holidays – and Ross Nesbit (11) all on 37 points and Lindsay Hogg (22) got the last ball on countback from David Wood (9), Michelle Dillon (9) and Kevin Chase (27), all those on 36. NTPs were Robert Dick 3rd, Deaniee Henderson (with an almost hole in one) 5th, Dale Hall 9th, Ron Schultze 13th and Luke Hadfield on the 16th.
Laughie 4BBB was held on a day that started well went downhill then picked up again weather wise.
The Brad Short/Jordan Simpson combo won with a great score of 45 points to win from Peter and Wayne Hall on 44 points on countback from Mark Henderson and Doug Meehan.
Ladies’ winner from the day was Karyl Hewitt and Toni Kilderry on 42 points with the runner-up being Jen Waterson and Jan Harry on 39 points.
In the novelty sections, the nearest the off the tee on the 4th went to Karyl Hewitt for the ladies and Peter Hall for the men, and longest drives on the 18th went to Brad Short for the men and Michelle Dillon for the ladies.
NTPs went to Brad Short on the 3rd, Phil Lloyd 5th, Jordan Simpson 9th, Jack Hewitt 13th and Mark Henderson 16th. We have the AutoPro 4P Ambrose on Thursday (Australia Day), so get your names in for that for a really good day.
