STABLEFORD was played Saturday, September 28.

It was AFL grand final day and most players decided to watch the footy, with only 10 venturing out to play.

The winner was David Knight with 40, followed by Jan Harry (39) and Jenny Waterson (38), while Ron Delamare had a hole-in-one on the 9th hole, with no other nearest the pins claimed.

Ladies Monthly Medal was played Wednesday, October 2.

Twenty-one ladies from Barham joined in as part of their mystery golf day, along with our 12 ladies, which made for a very good field.

Rhonda Willoughby was the Medallist of the Year for 2024 and also was presented with the Alma Brown Trophy.

The day’s winner was Marg Learmonth with 97-24=73, with Shirley Jenner coming home next with 97-23=74 and Rhonda Willoughby with 99-25=74.

The nearest the pins were won by C.Downs (3rd), J.Harry (5th), J.Boyd (9th), S.Thompson (13th) and D.Waller (16th), with the putting competition winner being Shirley Jenner with 30.

R&R Stableford was played Thursday, October 3.

A good field of 31 played, with the winner on 42 points being Casey Gillen (20).

The ball pool went to K.Chase (24) 40, D.Ellwood (24), C.Waterson (5), J.Williams (19) all with 36 and B.Shields 35 on a countback.

The nearest the pins were won by K.Williams (3rd), G.Teasdale (5th), B.Shay (9th), D.Knight (13th) and C.Waterson (16th).

Monthly Medal was played Saturday, October 5.

Twenty-three men and two ladies played, with the ladies’ winner being D.Henderson with 95-20=75 and the men’s winner being D.Meehan with 76-7=69.

The ball pool went to K.Chase (71), T.Hall and K.Lane (72) and C.Waterson (74), while the nearest the pins were won by C.Waterson (3rd), B.Gibson (5th), D.Meehan (9th and 13th) and T.Hall (16th).

Wisharts Jewellers Gold Watch 4BBB was played Sunday, October 6.

Twenty-one pairs entered this annual event, with the proud winners of the gold watches being Kevin Chase and Kevin Lane, with 46 points.

Second place went to Ron Schultze and Peter Jones with 42 points, while third place went to Casey Gillen and Tony Laughlin, also 42 points.

Nearest the pins were won by D.Meehan (3rd), C.Waterson (9th), L.Hadfield (13th) and D.Meehan (16th).
