FASCINATORS and fine accessories were adorned by the community as the Cohuna Hospital Ladies Auxiliary hosted their annual Melbourne Cup lunch on Tuesday.
A steady stream of sweeps and spinning wheel prizes kept attendees entertained, while the main purpose of the event was very clear – to have fun and raise vital funds for Cohuna’s hospital.
Cohuna Hospital Ladies Auxiliary president Val Farrant said more than $3000 was raised during Tuesday’s day of horse racing festivities, which would go towards purchasing new hospital equipment.
“The community are always very generous when it comes to supporting the hospital, so we’re very pleased with our result and how the day went.”
