LOCAL community organisations, including the Kerang RSL and Military Brotherhood Military Motorcycle Club have been selling poppies for Remembrance Day.
Remembrance Day is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth member states, since the end of the First World War, honouring members of the armed forces who have died in the line of duty.
Poppies symbolise remembrance, with the origin dating back to the landscape of battlefields, particularly on the Western Front.
Money raised through the Poppy Appeal helps to change the lives of veterans and their families.
Donations help provide specialist services which include crisis accommodation and health and wellbeing programs.
