Generosity good for our health

THE hard-working team at the Rita Hall Opportunity School has again provided a generous contribution to Kerang District Health.

The health service’s auxiliary – which now involves a number of men as well as the women – donated $75,000 as its annual contribution.

Auxiliary president, Wilma Ellis thanks all volunteers who worked in the Fitzroy Street shop for contributing to ongoing support for the hospital.

“We have a willing band who sort donated goods and set out the shop,” she said.

Mrs Ellis said that the auxiliary also appreciated the health service’s support in expanding the shop and adding storage facilities.

Board member, Ken Jenkins accepted the cheque on behalf of the health service.

“You have donated countless tens of thousands of dollars to enable us to provide the facilities that our community benefit from,” he said.

“It’s amazing how you keep on working and keep on giving. We are indebted to you all.”
