CMFNL – Raiders aim for percentage boost

KOONDROOK/BARHAM will look to increase its percentage tomorrow when the Central Murray Football Netball League premiership contenders host 10th-placed Tyntynder.

The border side will go into the match against a refreshed Bulldogs outfit with added confidence following last weekend’s 36-point win against Lake Boga.

The Bulldogs went down to the Magpies by 89 points two weeks ago, and will find the Raiders a tougher challenge.

Koondrook/Barham won by 58 points when these sides met in round three at Alan Garden Reserve, but the space available to run at the Barham Recreation Reserve will benefit the hosts.

Cameron Cook, Bryce Delmenico and Adam Thomson will be no match for the home side’s midfield, led by ruckman Rhett Sutton, Frazer Neate and Troy Rogers.

Matt Dean will be given the role of shutting down the Bulldogs’ leading goalkicker, Glen Gascoyne, whilst Brock Storer and Lachlan Howe will struggle to contain Tom Lamb and Daniel Mowat in the home side’s forward 50.

The Raiders need to win by a large margin to increase its percentage, which could play a role in which side finished on top of the ladder come round 18.

PREDICTION: Koondrook/Barham will win by 60 points.
