Small school with big heart

MURRABIT Group School prides itself on providing high-quality education to students from Foundation to Grade 6 in a warm and nurturing environment. Everyone loves coming to school at Murrabit.

We offer support for families with a before and after school care program that runs from 7:30am to 6pm daily.

Our new future Prep Little Explorers program is every Monday, and anyone can join in.

The school’s mission is to provide a comprehensive education that empowers students to become independent, creative, and responsible citizens.

To achieve this mission, the school has a team of highly skilled and dedicated teachers who work closely with students to provide individual attention and support.

Murrabit Group School strongly focuses on literacy, numeracy, inquiry skills, and well-being, with dedicated programs and resources to support student learning.

The school also offers a range of extracurricular activities to enrich the student experience, including music, sports, and Italian.

Students have said the current highlights are the Gaga Pit and the new Pump Track, which they initiated.

One of Murrabit Group School’s unique features is its commitment to sustainability and environmental education in its beautiful grounds.

The school has a large vegetable garden that is tended by students.

The produce is used to cook and sell at the school gate, fundraising for camps. Students also participate in regular waste reduction and recycling initiatives through Sustainability Vic and have recently joined the River Detectives Program.

The school has a strong connection to the local community, with regular events and activities that involve parents and community members.

This helps to create a supportive and inclusive school culture where everyone is valued and respected.

Murrabit Group School also emphasises technology and the development of digital literacy skills, keeping safety in mind.

Murrabit Group School is a small rural school with a big heart.

The school’s commitment to high-quality education, sustainability, and community engagement makes it a special place for students to learn and grow.

Come and join our amazing little school with excellent achievement and balanced lifelong learning opportunities.

Please book a time for a tour.
