AS a Prep to Year 12 school, Kerang Christian College strives to ensure a feeling of community and family flows through all year levels.
Yet, our small size also allows the individual to be nurtured and offered the opportunity to shine.
In the primary years there is a great focus on building students’ literacy and numeracy skills. Along with this, there are many “hands on” activities such as art and PE to allow all students to excel within their own skill sets.
Our primary students will also soon move into their fully refurbished classrooms to further support their learning.
In the secondary years, staff work closely with students to help them identify the right pathway for them as they near the end of their schooling.
Students in Year 7 and 8 are taught the core subjects of English, maths, science and humanities along with a variety of practical subjects such as wood work and drama.
Our Year 9 to 10 students complement their core subjects by choosing from a number of electives. Elective choices vary from year to year depending on the interests and skill sets of the cohort. Year 10 students can also choose to include a VCE subject in their timetable.
In VCE the only mandatory subject is English and so students can plan the rest of their timetable with support and advice from our dedicated staff.
From Prep all the way through to Year 12, our staff are passionate about supporting our students as they grow in their knowledge and skills.
