The jackpot was 0 and was not claimed so come along today as it might be your lucky day.

The jackpot today is $350.

Names to be in today before 11am for a 12.30pm start.

The club’s phone number is 5421 194.

Carpet bowls: Seven players enjoyed laughter and some good bowls which stayed on the carpet and provided keen competition.

Anyone feeling like some gentle exercise is welcome at the bowling club at 1pm every Tuesday.

Welcome back to the club June and Ray Maddox.

So good to see you both.

The results of midweek pennant were as follows.

In Division 1 Kerang 1 57 lost to Barham 1 74 with Mark’s team the only Kerang team to win.

Despite the scores, there were many good bowls on the other two rinks but they couldn’t hold the shots.

In Division 2 Kerang 2 53 won against Leitchville 1 49.

This was an interesting game, with Marilyn’s team in the lead all day with Leitchville making up ground in the last part of the game.

Hhowever, Kerang kept putting down good shots to win by nine.

In Jo’s game Leitchville from the first end led with a considerable margin throughout the game until the 24th end, when Kerang, after improving their game, drew with Leitchville with 25 each.

Going into the last end Leitchville played well and won by five shots.

Congratulations to Rod and Som Pascoe on their exciting news of becoming grandparents to a beautiful grandson, Flynn.

Congratulations to our members Kevin Teasdale, Jason Wilson, Dale Hancock, Gayle Teasdale, Chelsea Fisher, Marlene Orr and Kerry Watts who have been selected to play in the Region Round Robin at Murray Downs on Sunday November 5.

Well done on being selected and we all wish you the very best.

Our members have been out and about supporting other clubs at their tournaments.

Trevor Pocock, Alyne Fagg, Wayne Neville and Terry Nolan played in the Bob Wilson Memorial Bowls Day at Quambatook.

Conditions were very chilly with a strong cross breeze from the south.

There has been some remedial work carried out on the Quambatook surface over the last couple of years and it was agreed that the surface was the best it has been for many years.

The Kerang team had more success in the raffles than they did on the green but apart from the blustery conditions the day was very successful with many old friendships renewed.

Another inch was added to the waistline by the excessive consumption of the extensive array of delicious food, including cream cakes, supplied by their small band of helpers.

Two teams played at Kerang Golf for the Terry White Chemist Day.

There were no winners but both teams had a good day.

Congratulations to our Som Pascoe who won the Northern District section of the state singles 25-15 against Jean Fairchild in the final.

Jean had won a very entertaining match 25-24 against compatriot Jenny Laureson in the semi-final.

For a fun day with bowls, sweeps and raffles come along to our Melbourne Cup Day on November 7.

Add your names to the list in the clubhouse before 9.30am. for a 10.30am start or ring Barb Williams on 0428 574 253. Good bowling, everyone.
