Misdirected froth causes no end of fluster

STAFF at a local business were very happy to receive a milk-frother for their much-valued coffee.

The only problem was it wouldn’t work properly and was spitting milk everywhere.

Things turned out well, though, once Phoebe and Jenna (or was it Kate?) were shown not to fill it to the brim and the little spring thing had to be taken out of the frother for a latte and placed in for a cappuccino.

Younger generation these days…

You don’t need a pilot’s licence to drive one.

OLD mate Ron Schultze dropped in a while back and of course we traded a few jokes – sorry, they can’t be mentioned here.

We were just wondering where Max Maclean is when you need him, as we haven’t heard from him in a while.

Maybe he is just too enthused with the fact Collingwood is on top of the ladder.

KERANG ladies Shirl Jenner and Kaz Manuel, along with former local Suzie ‘Q’ Taylor, are now world record holders.

They were all involved in the Nutbush Line Dance World Record attempt at the Birdsville Big Red Bash.

The previous record was easily broken and the top tally now stands at 5838.

The record attempt and the raffle raised $164,000 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

The partners of these lovely ladies, Ned, Waz and Smed, didn’t perform the Nutbush as, in their words, “White men can’t dance”.

Maybe they didn’t know the steps.

A FEW comments back regarding the Carlton issue and Silvagni.

All very well received, thanks – and it’s great to know it’s of interest to some.

HEARD that ol’ Trev Treacy had a bit of a surprise from his family for his 70th birthday.

Kids Shannon, Carl and Gabrielle all met at the designated spot and surprised the old bloke.

Congratulations, Trev, and well done to Trish, the kids and the whole Treacy gang.

LOCAL footy clubs are starting to hold their “ladies’ day” – always a popular event.

As yet we haven’t heard rumours of anyone misbehaving but, don’t worry, we will.

Have heard that the Wandella ladies’ day was held when they played Murrabit, and a few got home early – like 6–6.30am.

Then there were some ladies who went home after 12.

Hope everyone had a wonderful day.

CHUM has forsaken his old blue Holden ute and replaced it with a big, buxom, blue 4×4.

This has been in the pipeline for about a year and it just shows well good the old girl has done to hold out this loneg.

It, sadly, no longer sits at the front of the queue under the carport.

Wonder if it will ever be driven again.

Of course, we won’t know Chum as he drives past now.
