Thursday saw the last day of our Jackpot pairs for the year, with a full green to send it off in style. Winners were Jon Henty and Brian McLoughlan, whilst the pairing of Laurie Forde and Cheryle Baker took home the repechage cash. The jackpot went off first draw, two teams were all square on the day so shared the $70.
Our next organised event is the Pie and Soup Triples, commencing at Leitchville on April 13, names to Tony Cantwell.
An update on tournaments was promised for this week, so bouquets to Jean Sutherland’s ladies’ side, winners at Boort for the happiest team, the Eckhardts runners-up in Quamby’s pairs whilst Gavan, Ian and Mick were successful in the Triples at the same venue.
To round off a good week Peter, Mick and Steve won the Leitchville star day triples on Sunday, and was Brownie an excited lad collecting his first ever envelope.
Good luck to our Country Week sides who head to Bendigo this week, and keep April 4 free for our annual meeting.
