Curfew breached

A PAROLEE has been thrown back into custody after breaching a curfew in Kerang.

The accused was ordered to reside at a Kerang address with a night-time curfew.

Police said a fitted electronic monitoring device indicated the curfew was breached.

The parolee was arrested and put back to custody.


Drugs found

POLICE found cannabis inside a Koondrook property while attended to a non-suspicious death of a housemate.

Officers were called to the house on June 7 after the deceased’s friend asked them to visit the scene.

Police found an amount of cannabis in a public area of the house.

The male friend was interviewed regarding possession of cannabis.


Bicycle stolen

A MAN was arrested after stealing an electric bicycle in Kerang on June 19.

The bike was parked outside a licensed venue in Victoria Street.

A short time later, a male person was seen riding the bike away.

This male was identified and arrested a day later and the bike was returned to its owner.

“Lock your bike when you are shopping or leaving it in a public place,” a police spokesperson said.
