Theft from vehicles
RESIDENTS in Cohuna have been urged by police not to leave cash inside vehicles after a spate of thefts from vehicles.
Police said offenders gained entry to a locked vehicle in William Street between 2am and 4am on May 29.
A wallet and tools were taken.
“It appears that this incident is part of a series of thefts in the Cohuna area,” a police spokesman said.
“There were three other thefts from motor vehicles on the same night in the Cohuna area.”
It is believed the offenders fled to Echuca after these crimes.
Police are appealing to anyone with CCTV footage of the affected vehicles or people lurking about in the early hours of May 29.
