Wednesday Ladies Monthly Medal, September 6.

On a bright, but cold sunny morning, the girls set off to play stroke. The winner was Crissy Downs with 104-29=75. Ball pool saw Jill Marshall 112-35=77, Marg Learmonth101-23=78.

Chino’s NTP went to Carol Dear and Crissy also had the least number of putts with 29. 10am start next week.

Thursday R & R Stableford, September 7.

The threat of rain during the afternoon had an impact on the field with just 13 entrants. A very small amount of rain did arrive but obviously didn’t deter our winner Tony Hall, (17) with 40 points. In the ball pool were Phil Lloyd 38 and Kevin Sambrooks 37. NTP’s went to A Free on the 3rd, 5th and 16th to P Lloyd, 9th to K Sambrooks and the 13th to G Wyte.

ON Sunday, September 3, the club held its North West Ag Day, which was a two-person Ambrose, any combination event.

A field of 26 players took part in perfect conditions, both course and weather wise, with the winning scratch team being Adam Laughlin and Glen McKissack with 65 (65/1/64).

The runners-up were Joe Kelly and “Bull” Ritchie on 72, with Joe and “Bull” also winning the handicap section with a net 66.25.

The runners-up were Chayse and Scott Worner on net 66.5; third were Jarrod Brown and Maurice Meehan on a net 67.75; fourth were Al Ferrier and Ben Smith with a net 68.25; and fifth were Col Wilkie and Luke Hatfield with a net 69.75.

The nearest the pins went to “Bull” Richie on the sixth, Brad Kelly on the eighth, while the nearest the pin second shot went to Al Ferrier.

The longest drive 1-10 was won by Glen McKissack, while Karen McKissack won the 11-27.

The club will wind up our 2023 season on September 17, with Gymkhana Day, with the presentation of club awards to follow that evening.
