Did I read that Greg Dickson opened the bowling for Wandella in the T20 Round on December 9?
What the heck is going on there? Moorey was away, and Barnesy and Bohden must have been crook or something.
Anyway, it turned out to be a master stroke as he claimed the first two wickets to fall, the Lolicato boys, Warren and Garry – maybe it was Warren and Garry who were crook.
Good on you, Dicko, Warren and Garry. All the best to you.
The Kerang Primary School held an end of year shindig at Arnie’s Lake on the weekend of December 9, starting on the Friday evening with a quiet social evening sitting by the lake.
The party did liven up a bit once one old couple left and it’s quite sad, but I must inform Chick Dee that his son, Robert, woke up on Saturday morning feeling a bit the worse for wear. Young Chick laid the blame firmly on Waddy.
The ‘do’ continued on Saturday evening at the Mystic Pub.
Well done on a great celebration of Christmas, and season’s greetings to all.
There will be no comment made regarding the Gannawarra Times Christmas party.
All wondered where Shane was and no further details will be given as it may incriminate.
It must be noted that Christine, Phoebe and Jenna all behaved as expected. Make of that what you will.
Merry Christmas to all.
Sandi Spittal (Frog’s sister) says the time has come to quit the principal business. Sandi is a bit unsure as to what she would like to do, but her options are open.
Tonka truck driving, that’s the big rigs in the mines way up north, pilot car driving in support of large vehicles, or heading back to Dubai, whatever happens it will be interesting to see which way she goes. All the best young lady.
Had a long chat with a former champion Rovers full back who was renowned for his drop kicks, and yes, of course we talked footy.
Which club will continue to do well and for how long, why are some clubs falling away and what is the solution to prevent that are just some of the problems we solved. Yes, that’s right – solved.
But as we’ve said before, if only people would listen to us.
It’s great that things are moving towards a childcare centre in Cohuna. It’s been a while and personally, I can’t see how anyone can be against it. Should be great for the town as it will make it easier for folks to work locally.
Congrats to Karen Rogers on making the emotional decision to close the vets in Cohuna. It was surely a very sad decision but it has been an exceptional effort by you and your staff and I’m pretty sure the community will support you in any way possible.
The Aussie test team took a knee a while ago in support of Black Lives Matter and now they prevent Uzzy from wearing his boots that state “Freedom is a human right” and “All lives are equal”. Side note: I would like it if he wore the Freedom is a human right on his left boot.
The opportunity for freedom should be available to all, and in my opinion, all lives are equal.
Simon O’Donnell said: “But while he’s representing Australia he has no right, nil, zero, to bring his personal beliefs and instill those onto others”.
INSTILL meaning – gradually but firmly establish (an idea or attitude) in a person’s mind
Fair enough from Simon as he is stating this in regard to the ICC rules. But Uzzy is not instilling his beliefs on anyone. He is letting me know what his beliefs are, but I still have a choice to decide if I think he is right or wrong.
I would like to see Uzzy come out in the same boots with black permanent marker scrawled all over the writing on the boots.
And Warner! – Say no more
And Djokovic has no right to criticise Australia for deporting him last year during the COVID lockdown around the Australian Open when he didn’t get the jab. It was the country’s law at the time.
Let him in? Let him break the law? Good call at the time.
Merry Christmas to all.
