LADIES golf on Wednesday was cancelled due to the heat. Hopefully cooler weather will be arriving.

On a windy day, 31 members and one visitor took part in the Stableford round on Thursday.

The winner was captain Jack scoring 44 points. He was the recipient of the pen award last week.

Runner-up was Col Wilkie, with 38 points. Others in the ball pool were T. Hall and R. Fabry on 37, T. Laughlin and D. Ellwood 35. Nearest to the pin on the 3rd and 9th D. Ellwood, 5th G. Pay, 13th J. Harry and 16th G. Service.

A total 25 pairs played in the Ian Laughlin Memorial 4BBB on Saturday, in very fine weather.

The winners were Gavin Teasdale/Dave Gray with a great score of 48 points. In second place were Max Wilson/Jack Hewitt with 46 points, third place went to Rob Fabry/Wayne O’Neill on 44 and in fourth spot were Roger Pay/Marcus Pay on 43.

The winners in the ladies section were Rosie Laughlin and Jenny Waterson with a score of 42 points. Runners-up were Lorraine Bray and Mandy Ackland with 40 points.
