Music festival returns

The Summerwave Music Festival is returning to Atkinson Park in Kerang again on February 10 next year.

From concept to marketing, the youth of the Gannawarra region have been the decision makers throughout the process with assistance from youth programs co-ordinator at Northern District Community Health, Matt Allan, and youth program assistant, Molly Meadows.

Mr Allan said that Summerwave 2024 marks a big step up for the committee.

“This year we are bringing more interstate artists than ever before including some fantastic acts that have never performed in regional Victoria,” Mr Allan said.

Lucy Pilgrim, 14, one of the key members of the committee said that Summerwave in 2024 will be even better than 2023.

“I’m so excited I’m able to help out this year, it’s going to be incredible,” Lucy said.

Now in its fourth year, Summerwave 2024 will include 16 acts ranging from young up-and-comers to nationally touring artists.

Jenna McDougall, of Tonight Alive, will headline as Hevenshe.

She will be supported by Sydney’s BESITES, Brisbane’s Forever on High, Melbourne’s Dallas Woods and Masketta Fall.

There will also be local young artists featured throughout the day at the fully supervised, alcohol, smoke and drug free event.

In addition to the line-up of live music, Summerwave will also host inflatables and additional activities which are all included in the festival ticket price of $15 for youth and $25 for adults.

Food and drinks will also be available to purchase from food trucks throughout the festival.
