THERE were 12 ladies playing on Wednesday, and it was Jan Milne that won the day with 37 points.

The ball pool went to R. Henery (34 points), N. Robinson and L. Bray (both 32 points).

Carol Dear won Chino’s nearest the pin on the 9th hole.

R & R Stableford – Thursday, August 21

A GOOD field of 30 players participated on Thursday, with the best score for the day coming from Gary Pay with 36 points.

The ball pool went to W. O’Neill, T. Laughlin, J. Hewitt (35 points), and R. Fabry and C. Waterson (34 points).

Nearest the pins went to C. Waterson (3rd and 5th holes), T. Laughlin (9th and 16th holes) and K. Sambrooks (13th hole).

Stableford – Saturday, August 23

WARMER weather certainly brought out the golfers on Saturday, with 36 entrants taking part.

The ladies winner was Jenny Waterson with 37 points, while the men’s winner was Andrew Spitty with 38 points.

The ball pool was won by J. Murphy, S. Spitty (37 points), J. Harry, G. Service (36 points), C. Waterson (35 points), M. Dillon (34 points) and J. Hewitt and S. Dibsdale (33 points).

The nearest the pins were won by O. Spitty (3rd hole), J. Harry (5th hole), M. Spitty (9th hole), C. Manners (13th hole) and J. Waterson (16th hole).
