Vehicle vandalised

A BROKEN down vehicle was vandalised near Cohuna last week.

The Ford Falcon was left on the side of the Murray Valley Highway due to mechanical problems.

During the evening of January 20, registration plates were stolen and the driver’s side window was smashed to gain entry. A child’s toy was taken.


Farm equipment stolen

DAIRY farm equipment was stolen from a property near Kerang on January 19.

A Honda quad bike, portable calf feeder trailer and electric fence unit were taken from the Leitchville-Kerang Road property.

 


Two galahs

TWO men will face court after allegedly shooting dead protected birds on the Gunbower Creek.

Victorian Fisheries and police spoke to two men at Goat Island who allegedly shot numerous galahs and prepared them for human consumption on January 20.

A .22 rifle, fitted with a silencer, was also located in a vehicle.

Police and VFA officers will interview the two offenders and issue a summons to appear in court.


Rego plate taken

THE front registration plate of a vehicle parked on Andrew Street in Kerang was stolen some time last week.


Food stolen

A WOMAN has been accused of stealing food from a Kerang supermarket.

The shopper placed items in a concealed area of a pram before walking out.

Police said they had CCTV footage of the incident.
