Hitting the road for Christmas cheer

ROADS thundered with the sound of engines from 84 motorbikes and 52 cars for the ninth annual Gannawarra Memorial Toy Run.

The large group that had gathered from as far afield as Melbourne and Bendigo set off from Leitchville.

Technical students celebrate

KERANG Technical High School Year 12 students celebrated an end to their schooling on Friday night, November 17, with a valedictorian dinner at the school hall.

Cohuna gets funding for childcare centre

AFTER years of frustration, advocacy and planning, Cohuna is finally set to get its own childcare centre.

Cohuna is one of 20 new childcare locations set to open in 2027 and 2028 that were announced by the State Government.

Carols full of spirit

KERANG was filled with the sound of Christmas cheer as local schools, families and residents took to Atkinson Park for Kerang’s Community Carols.

Attendees brought along picnic rugs and baskets, watching on as the Kerang Combined Churches put on another of their dazzling performances.

Doctors back at Barham Hospital

DOCTOR services have been restored at Barham Hospital after a bureaucratic stand-off.

A contractual agreement between Murrumbidgee Local Health District, which oversees the Barham health service, and Ochre Health had been providing doctors to the hospital for the past five years, a deal that was extended by 14 months until November 30.
