Vaccinations available

FAMILIES who need vaccinations can make use of the Gannawarra Shire Council’s immunisation program in 2024.

Sessions will be held at Cohuna and Kerang from January 3 through to December 18 next year.

“Council’s immunisation sessions are an ideal way for families to ensure that their children are able to receive their scheduled vaccinations on time to protect against diseases,” chief executive Geoff Rollinson said.

Immunisation sessions will be held at Gannawarra Shire Children’s Centre, Kerang, on the first Wednesday of the month, from 10.30am to noon, as well as on the third Wednesday of the month, between 4pm and 5.30pm.

Sessions are also held at the Cohuna Maternal and Child Health Centre on the third Wednesday of the month, from 10.30am to noon.

Alternative arrangements will be in place for sessions in mid-January 2024, with the Cohuna session and Kerang afternoon session on Wednesday, January 24, rather than January 17.

“Families are reminded that at least one parent or guardian is required to be with their child,” Mr Rollinson said.

“People who are being vaccinated also need to stay on-site for 15 minutes after their appointment to be observed by the nurse on duty.”

Bookings for immunisation sessions are essential on 5450 9333.
