Raiders dominate disappointing Roodogs

BARHAM Koondrook sit inside the top four of the SHDCA A Grade competition for the first time since joining the league, following a devastating nine-wicket win over Ultima-TUF.

The Roodogs proved no match for a strong Raiders outfit, claiming fourth spot with their fourth win of the season.

Batting first on a damp wicket, Ultima-TUF’s innings got away to the worst possible start.

Their top four batsmen – Kyle Symons, Kade Benfield, Rory Bell and Mitch Seton-Stewart – all failed to score, facing a total of 10 balls between them.

Garry Lolicato (5/13 from eight overs) cut a swathe through the Ultima-TUF batting line-up.

Jordan King (28) and Cassidy Sibley (16) were the only batsmen to offer any real resistance as the visitors were bowled out for just 63 in the 24th over.

The Raiders continued their domination with the bat, as Lance Davidson (31 not out) and Joel Davidson (24) put together a 54-run opening partnership to get their team within sight of victory, before Lolicato (8 not out) finished the job in Barham Koondrook’s most comprehensive result since joining the SHDCA.
