So the Ashes series has been completed and they are still ours, which would obviously annoy the Poms.
Calls have been put forward by the English for a spare day for Tests. Sorry, don’t see the need. If it was a one-off Test, then maybe, but not in a five Test series.
They should have made sure they won the first two Tests, and they very well could have.
Warner got a few runs in the last Test. Does that mean that he can extend his career to 2030 at his whim?
Anderson’s retirement from English cricket may be similar to Warner’s, at his whim! He’s 41 and wants to play in their next series.
A local Carlton supporter was happy with the Blues win over Collingwood a couple of weeks ago and posted stuff on “Fakebook”.
A pretty clever reply from a mate stated “Carlton supporters have sacked a coach, spilled the board, sent the players to kicking rehab, burnt their membership, bought another one and won the flag all before the end of July. Been busy.”
Can’t argue with that comment.
And now it seems the Blues are having a real crack, released from the game plan that tied them down.
No way will Kurl get carried away with that. Don’t think they come into premiership contention as yet.
Lake Boga, NNW United, Cohuna and Swan Hill will all just about end up on the same points in the CMFL this year, with only two spots available in the final five.
Kerang, Balranald and Woorinen have the top three sewn up, but spots four and five is up for grabs from the four teams mentioned.
Gotta love it when its close like that. Percentage will come into it.
Three local blokes have headed to Ceduna for the annual fishing trip and brought home their bag.
The biggest catch of the week was a 250HP Evinrude caught by Noel Robby.
They had to take the prop off to get the hook out of the damn thing.
Probably won’t be the last time that happens Robbo. Just make sure you don’t do it again.
Kai Lane has been helping out at Owen’s second hand place in Scoresby street, cleaning up and basically, selling stuff that Owen can’t.
Kai suggested putting a picture that Owen had in the shop out on display.
This picture had been in the shop since Adam was a lad and Kai thought it needed to be set free. It sold immediately.
It’s a rippin’ little shop you’ve got there Owen, and nice work Kai.
Have heard that Cohuna is having a chilli festival on Friday, September 29.
Tanya Harvey, at Nutrien in Cohuna, has got the festival up and going.
Lots of positive feedback for this, so great work Tanya, your community spirit is shining through.
Been busier than a one-armed brick layer in Bagdad, and the ratbag, demanding editor wants the Komment on Thursday.
I’d like to say that all the good goss will have to wait, but not much else is happening.
