WINNERS on Tuesday at social bowls were Bob, Alison, Lynda and Tilly.

There was a really good roll-up with 30 players enjoying the cool but dry conditions.

Rodney’s music choices stimulated some excellent bowling and again there were visitors in attendance.

Ann’s team was a close second with 52 points, just one point behind the winners.

Friday night saw about 12 members turn up for a night of card playing, which was better suited than carpet bowls due to the numbers. Kaye C. won the cards and featured pretty well in the sing-a-long too.

Winner of the “Return Membership” draw was Gaye Simms, and a well-deserved win, too. Gaye is a member who contributes a lot of time to the club especially in the kitchen, so congratulations on winning a little bonus.

Alison is bowling in great form at present, not only winning on Tuesday but also at Saturday’s social bowls, too.

Her team comprised Ros, Steve and Stevie Wonder.

They were the only team with two wins. A smaller number of bowlers turned up and those who did enjoyed perfect conditions and a bit of karaoke afterwards.

BLACK duck jackpot two-bowl triples was played last Tuesday, with 30 bowlers in good conditions.

Two-game winners were T. Pocock, D. King and D. Jenkins on +20.

Second-game winners were H. McBain, P. Waters and M. Infantino on +17.

Jackpot number this week was +29 and was not claimed. Next week the jackpot goes back to $144.

On Saturday 12 players braved the cold wet conditions. Terry Nolan and Peter Basile won the day.

To play black duck call the club on 5452 1194 by 11am for a 12.30pm start or, preferably, have your name down on the list on the notice board by the day before. No uniform is required and members of the public who would like to join the club are welcome.

The same applies to Saturday social bowls, everyone is welcome. Saturday social bowls starts at 1pm.

We also have happy hour at the club every Friday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Have a “roll” beforehand then come in for a drink with club members.

So, even though winter is upon us, there is no need to put the bowls away, there is still plenty going on at the club (and elsewhere for that matter) and we get frequent nice days to enjoy a bowl.

Our huge Spring Carnival is on starting on Saturday, through to next Tuesday, so grab an entry form and join in. There are many events planned to cater for every taste. Entry forms are available at the club or online.

Remember to get measured for our new shirts for next season.
