Across the Greens

Cohuna

IT was a mixed week of weather and therefore a cancellation of Tuesday’s social bowls due to rain and very chilly temperatures.

However, not to be deterred, a pleasing number turned up for Friday night’s tea and carpet bowls.

And why wouldn’t you when Marilyn and Kay are in the kitchen? By all accounts and pictures, it was a fun night.

The winners were Brian, Giggles and Marilyn – proving that good cooks are also good bowlers. Well done to all.

Although cold and a bit showery, 23 players rolled up for Saturday’s social bowls.

The men’s team of Richard, Rodney, Keith and Rick took the honours. Obviously to keep warm, there was some dancing on the greens, which took everyone’s mind off how chilly it was.

And just to make us stay-at-homes feel miserable, Marg R tells us that the local bowlers are recent winners at Nambour.

Oh well, someone has to go and represent Cohuna up north.

Huge congratulations to Jeff R, Mick C, Ian C and Mick H.

Looks like they are having a great time in the sunshine.
