One local lady who has been on “Fakebook” for quite a while, but may not have the best grasp of it, attempted to send something to only her hubby. Turns out that it went out to all her friends.
It seems that her hubby was questioned a couple of times regarding a certain post.
Pretty sure that the post may have been taken down fairly quickly. You got to laugh, otherwise it could be stressful.

Five lads from Wandella (three younger blokes, an oldie, and an ancient) headed over to the Nully five-a-side on February 12 and eventually played off in the final against a team from Melbourne.
After losing two wickets in the first over, it was the oldie and the ancient who got them to a respectable score, that would only be chased down in the final over.

Saw Podge and Sandra Jenner driving past the other day and gave a slight toot. I was probably expecting a rude remark. Have to assume it was because Sandra was in the car. You know, Geoffrey is always the gentleman.

Another of Podge Jenner’s vintage that he would have played a lot of cricket against was Doc McCurdy. Doc was a crafty left-arm bowler who took many a wicket with the out, out, then in swing delivery.
Yep, miss those days, Doc. Sorry I couldn’t stop for a chat.

A couple of former cricketers, now a really good footballer in his day was David Knight. David started his footy career with Koondrook and then coached Appin for a while into a first semi way back when.
David is pretty busy building a house or two in the local area. Funny. He’s another one I only see when I’m out on the street. That’s when he sees me too.

Ran into Jackie O from Echuca the other day. Those who know her dad, the Collingwood supporter, will know of whom I speak.
It’s a pretty small world and it was great to catch up. Ozzy and the gang were off to Bali later that day. Yeah, half their luck. Hope you had a great trip Jackie and Oz.

It was the last weekend of cricket for the Northern District Cricket Association last Saturday, with the grand final being played out at Murrabit.
Wandella A Grade are still alive in the Swan Hill District Cricket Association and will feature in the first round of the finals next week.
They have finished the season in second spot, so not a bad year from the Bombers A Grade.
The C Grade were four points out of the finals prior to Saturday’s last round, where they played the top team.
Hard luck, but it was obviously another good year from the C Graders.

A quick look and I noticed that the Nondies Cohuna Cricket Club are in the A Grade finals over in the Goulburn Murray Cricket Association.
Their B and C Grade teams couldn’t get to the finals, but it’s been a pretty good year for the Nondies Cohuna folk.
Just wondering if old mate Peter Doyle is still filling in occasionally? Probably not, but he would still be bring up nice, flat wickets, which the Australians would pay heaps for if they could have them in India – but that’s another story.
