Across the Greens – Cohuna

GREAT excitement in the club on Sunday when Alison and Rhonda, Mike and Bob represented the NDPA in the regional finals of the 60+ pairs at Murray Downs.

Sadly Mike and Bob were beaten in the semi-final but Rhonda and Alison were all square after 12 ends. They won the 13th end, then went on to play Murray Valley in the final.

After a very tight match throughout they won 14/8 when 12 ends were completed. They now go to Bendigo mid March to compete in the State 60+ pairs. All the very best and well done to you both.

Also thanks to all who travelled to Swan Hill to support the players. It was fantastic to see so many there. Much appreciated by those competing.

Tuesday social winners this week were Bryan, Marianne, Richard and Ros. Well done.

Midweek Pennant: Cohuna 1 49/0 lost to Kerang 1 67/12; Cohuna 2 49/2 lost to Pyramid Hill 66/10; Cohuna 3 22/0 lost to Kerang Golf 51/8.

Last round of midweek this Wednesday so lets finish on a high. Good bowling to all teams.

Saturday Pennant: Cohuna 1 60/10 d Kerang 1 57/2. This elevated them to second position on the ladder and a second chance.

Cohuna 2 55/10 d Cohuna Golf 3 52/2. This gives us a chance. Now in fourth spot. Well done.

Cohuna 3A 51/4 lost to Gunny Golf 64/8. Finishing in fifth position.

Cohuna 3B results pending.

Good luck to those competing in the finals on Saturday. Thank you to all members who helped fill teams over this season. It has been very difficult for selectors each week to fill teams. Hopefully next season will be more settled.

Rodney is off to Melbourne on Sunday to play in the State Novice Singles. Good luck Rodney and enjoy the experience.

Ladies meeting 9.30am Tuesday before the game. Names in by 9.15am for 10am start.
