Ladies – Wednesday, April 23
Eight Kerang ladies ventured over to Barham on a return visit from earlier in the year.
The results were – M. Cameron 36, C. Downes 35, S. Jenner 30, R. Henery 28, M. Dillon and J. Boyd 27, N. Robinson 26 and E. Thynne 24.
R & R Stableford – Thursday, April 24
On a sunny and windy day, 24 members and guests played a Stableford competition.
The winner was Chris Waterson (4) who scored 41 points, on a countback from J. Hewitt (9) and T. Turvey (14), with Chris shooting a round of 70, one under par for the day.
The ball pool went to J. Hewitt, T. Turvey (41), G. Pay, R. Delamare (38) and J. Ackland (35), while the nearest the pins were won by J. Youl (9th), W. O’Neill (13th) and J. Hewitt (16th).
Happy Birthday was sung to Wayne O’Neill for his 70th birthday.
Anzac Day Stableford – Friday, April 25
On a day that threatened with rain and finished with a very good soaking, 22 members and guests managed to play 18 holes of Stableford in aid of the RSL.
The ladies winner was Karyl Hewitt with 40 points and the runner-up was Tony Kilderry on 39 points.
For the men, Blake Shay was the winner with 40 points and Brendan Shields was the runner up with 38 points.
Peter Jones was the last in the ball pool with 36 points, while the nearest the pins went to D. Wood (3rd), P. Jones (9th), J. Harry (13th) and J. Hewitt (16th).
Stableford – Saturday, April 26
After the good soaking on Friday, only 10 members fronted up to play, with the ladies winner Olive Spitty (-1) with 39 points.
Olive’s remarkable round was one to remember, with the budding star setting a new women’s course record of 67 – congratulations Olive.
The men’s winner was C. Waterson (3) with 37 points, while the ball pool was won by L. Hadfield (9) with 34 points and J. Hewitt (9) with 33 points.
The nearest the pins were won by L. Hadfield (3rd), A. Spitty (5th), O. Spitty (9th and 16th) and S. Harry (13th).
