Equal parts messy, gross

FAMILIES will have fun watching 26 science experiments conducted in 52 minutes next month thanks to the final Creative Gannawarra-supported performance for 2022.

The Kerang Memorial Hall will host the fun and frivolity of The Alphabet of Awesome Science, with this family-friendly show occurring on September 14 from 6pm.

The Alphabet of Awesome Science are renowned for their mish-mash of alphabet and science knowledge, with this show winning awards at the 2019 and 2021 Adelaide Fringe Festivals.

Suitable for 5-12 year olds and families, The Alphabet of Awesome Science will see Professor Lexi Con outline her curious collection of favourite words – one for every letter of the alphabet – with each word providing Professor Noel Edge with inspiration to demonstrate 26 quirky scientific demonstrations.

“Together, this dad-joke quipping, prank-pulling pair of polished professors strut their stuff in a performance that’s equal parts explosive, messy, spectacular, hilarious, fascinating and gross,” Gannawarra Shire Council acting chief executive Phil Higgins said.

“If things weren’t exciting enough, the audience will determine the order in which the letters are revealed and explored.”

Tickets are $15 for families and $5 for individuals.
