Down the fairways June 14

Kerang

Wednesday ladies

ANOTHER cold day for our ladies on Wednesday, with 10 tackling the course, in for our Chino’s voucher.

Angela Morton (17) won with a good score of 35 points, with a nice birdie on the 9th hole, in front of her mum, Rosie Laughlin (34) on 31 points.

Ball Pool M. Dillon (9) on 30 points. Chrissy Downs enjoyed a hot chocolate from Chino’s on the 9th. Lorraine Bray (welcome back from illness) will be writing some letters with her new pen. Next week is a par event. Good golfing.

Thursday R&R Stableford

It was a cold, blustery day at Kerang Golf Course and then the temperature dropped even further, brrrr.

Nineteen hardy (or should that be foolhardy) golfers set out, and the day’s winner was Tony Laughlin with 35 points, followed by Andrew Spitty and Olive Spitty, both with 34 points. Getting the last ball in the ball pool was Col Wilkie with 33 points.

NTPs went to J. Tartaglia (3rd), A. Spitty (5th) and Mabel Spitty (13th). No one got the 9th or 16th.

Greg McNeil was the recipient of the pen, which he fought hard to get on a countback, on 21 points.

Saturday Greenwood Mugge

The June winner of the Greenwood Mugge is Chris Waterson (5) with 36 points on a countback from Phil Lloyd, also 36 points. Ball pool Allan Free and Luke Hadfield 35, Doug Ellwood and Jack Hewitt on 34. Ladies’ winner was Donna Grant (22) on 32 points.

NTPs went to T. Laughlin (3rd), J Waterson (5th), D. Wood (9th), T. Turvey (13th Super Pin) and C. Waterson (16th).
