How you can receive from God today

WE are all in need of God’s help somewhere.

Perhaps for you it is a miracle of healing, his help with daily struggles, or a financial solution.

God sent us his word and his Son, Jesus, so we could learn how to receive from him what we need.

Jesus said: “You did not choose me, but I chose you … whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will give you” (John 15:16 CSB).

Our Lord also said: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. (8) For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8 NKJV)

God’s word gives us very assured promises that God is ready, willing, and prepared to answer prayers in Jesus’ name, and to provide our needs.

He even ensures that we realise the full extent of his intention, by ensuring that we know his answer in Jesus is, “Yes?”

“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” (2 Corinthians 1:20 NKJV)

Asking in Jesus’s name means to ask what he would ask, or what he wants you to ask.

In other words, is your request consistent with his character, and is it promised in his word?

When it comes to healing, the Bible clearly says that Jesus “healed them all” (Matthew 12:15).

Multitudes were healed in this passage; this implies that God didn’t filter anyone out.

So you are included in those who can receive healing … today.

God also says, “My God shall supply all of your need” (Phillippians 4:19).

Again, this promise is there for all believers in him.

Today, I encourage you to pray to God and read his word.

Be unashamed to ask him for what you need: forgiveness, healing, provision, and salvation.

In Jesus, his answer is yes.
