Christmas is fast approaching and a Kerang tradition is set to return, albeit at a new venue.
The Kerang Community Carols will take place on Sunday, December 8 in Atkinson Park, rather than its previous primary school setting.
Aleisha Pryor of the Kerang Baptist Church has been the ‘generations ministry worker’ at the church since early this year and is excited to be involved in organising the carols event as a member of the Ministers and Chaplains Association.
She has enjoyed attending the town’s Christmas carols in the past.
“It’s a great chance to spend time with your family over the Christmas season and catch up with friends,” Ms Pryor said.
“We’ll have some of the schools doing some musical items throughout the night.”
Ms Pryor said there would be plenty of things to keep young attendees occupied, with free face painting and a jumping castle.
The local Lions Club will host a barbecue and sell candles at the event.
This year’s location shift was necessitated by renovations taking place at Kerang Primary School.
