Development role for Alderuccio

THE region’s current football regional operations manager will transfer to the role of football development manager next month.

AFL Central Murray regional operations manager, David Alderuccio has resigned to take on AFL Victoria’s football development manager role in this region.

The region’s inaugural operations manager, Alderuccio spent three years in the position overseeing the operations of the Golden Rivers Football Netball League, the Central Murray Football Netball League and AFL Central Rivers Umpires.

He succeeds former football development manager, Jamie Macri, who has taken up a similar position with AFL Central Victoria.

Alderuccio will finish in his current position next week and will commence in his new role on January 22.

He extended thanks all the league boards, umpires, clubs and their members for their support over the last three years.

“I look forward to still working alongside all clubs and being heavily involved in football in our region,” he said.

Former CMFNL board member, Sheridan Harrop will take over the regional operations manager role with the support of new assistant, Chelsea Casey.

Meanwhile, AFL Central Murray will also be looking for a new AFL Central Rivers director of umpires following Danny Fraser’s recent decision to stand down from the role.
