VACSORA Piros is about to hit Kerang.
And so are the Stiletto Sisters
“Vacsora Piros” – which translates from Hungarian to “Dinner in Red” – is the theme for a pop-up picnic in a secret location, featuring the music and charms of the Stiletto Sisters from 6.30pm on Saturday, December 3.
Patrons at the red-themed dinner are urged to wear something decadently red, pack a picnic dinner, drinks etc. and enjoy. Picnic hampers will be available to pre-order for those who would like to simply come along, no fuss. Hampers are Hungarian themed and can cater for most dietary requirements, just contact the organisers if required. The location of the dinner will cater for all abilities and is kept top secret until the afternoon of the event.
The Stiletto Sisters will come to Kerang and perform well known and loved compositions by contemporary and past composers including Johannes Brahms, István Szelényi, Zoltán Kodály, György Ligeti and Béla Bartók,works by gypsy composers Sándor and Robie Lakatos, as well as popular and folk songs.
The Stiletto Sisters have been wooing audiences in Melbourne and internationally, for the past 15 years with their seductive blend of Hungarian gypsy, tango and love songs from around the world.
Led by Hungarian-trained violinist Hope Csutoros, the trio features the dynamic piano accordion playing of Judy Gunson and the wonderful talents of Jo To on double bass.
Messages will be sent out to patrons on the day of the event and the location will be displayed on the event Facebook page. Tickets at $25 per person will be available online at http://www.trybooking.com/nuom, from Loddon Murray Cycling Club members, at Ooh La La, Victoria Street, Kerang and the Gannawarra Gateway, King George Street, Cohuna.
The night is being hosted by the Kerang Murray to Moyne team and Loddon Murray Cycling. All funds raised contributing to the W.D. Thomas Day Care facility at Kerang District Health as part of the 2017 fund-raising efforts for Murray To Moyne Cycle Relay.
