THE second month of spring provided generally average temperatures and rainfall.
October contrasted markedly with September, which brought flooding rains.

October temperatures were also fractionally below average. The average minimum was 8.2 degrees, which was 0.6 degrees below the average. The average maximum was 21.4 degrees, 1.4 degrees below the average.
Moderate to major flooding has been experiences in district river catchments and vegetation growth is substantial.
State and council road authorities have begun weed mowing and slashing and Gannawarra Shire Council has made an early start to mosquito control measures.
