Gas link flows

KERANG residents who want to connect their properties to Kerang’s natural gas network can still submit expressions of interest.

Works to develop the town’s network reached another milestone this week, with more than 6000 metres of pipes that will transport the gas throughout the town being installed.

Crews have spent the past month working in streets south of Wellington Street, and this week began efforts north of one of the town’s major thoroughfares.

A work crew is undertaking electrical termination works at the Tate Drive filling station, which is on track to be switched on next month.

With TasGas still assessing the final network to ensure it meets community demand, people who have not expressed interest to be connected to natural gas can still do so.

Expression of interest forms are available online or by phoning 1800 760 771.
