Art exhibition at Kerang Library

VISITORS to Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library will soon be able to experience highlights from the ACRE21 Festival, held throughout the region last year.

The exhibition, which debuted at the Swan Hill Regional Gallery in November, features photos and creations made as part of the ACRE21 festival.

Gannawarra Shire Council acting CEO Geoff Rollinson said the Gannawarra region was featured throughout the project with on-farm residence projects at Lake Charm and Tragowel.

Works by Gannawarra residents feature prominently in the exhibition, including Lois the Emu, created by Margie Mackay and Aunty Esther Kirby during their week-long on-farm residence project with Ron and Chelle Reynolds at Tragowel.

“Anyone with a passion for art or those wanting to see how art and agriculture can be celebrated together are encouraged to visit what should be a popular exhibition,” Mr Rollinson said.

The ACRE Project Exhibition will run until April 13.
