Man charged after stabbing

A 26-YEAR-old Kerang man was charged with assault and weapons offences after allegedly stabbing another man in Kerang on Friday night.

Police described the attack as a family violence incident and said the victim, also 26, had only superficial injuries.

He was taken to hospital but was released the same night.

The alleged offender was bailed to appear in court.DRIVER HURT IN ROLLOVER

A DRIVER rolled his four-wheel-drive when he swerved to avoid kangaroos on Iron Punt Track in the Gunbower State Forest about 7pm on Tuesday.

Police said the 22-year-old was taken to hospital but later released.

MAN SMASHES WINDOWS

A KERANG man smashed a window at a house in Hastie Court after arguing with the occupants and being told to leave on September 13.

Later the same day the 32-year-old smashed windows at the front of an Adams Court house before returning to the Hastie Court property and throwing a bicycle through a window.

Police said the offender was alcohol-affected.FUEL LINE CUT

A DIESEL fuel line to an irrigation pump was cut at Pickering Road, in the Dingwall area on September 9. Police are seeking information about the damage.

PLANTS STOLEN

TWELVE liberia plants were stolen from the front yard of a property in Boundary Street sometime between September 1 and September 10.

Police said there had been several plant thefts in recent weeks and were seeking information about anyone acting suspiciously with plants.WOMAN STEALS BOOZE

A BRIDGEWATER woman was arrested after stealing a small bottle of Baileys and a can of mixed spirits from Walkers IGA in Kerang on September 7.

Police said the 33-year-old, who they found in a nearby street, was also in possession of a small quantity of cannabis and was remanded in custody.CANNABIS PLANT FOUND

A 45-year-old Kerang man was interviewed by police after a cannabis plant was found at a house in Hastie Court on September 13.
