Clients treated to cash winnings

SWAN Hill Chemical’s southern branch clients were treated to an afternoon of generous hospitality on Thursday, and the chance to win a possible $40,000.

Supporting and servicing the Swan Hill region since 1966, Swan Hill Chemicals is a locally owned and operated business, and each year do a promotion for their clients as a way of being able to reward them for their business.

Company director Gary Jeans said that the promotion has been running for years, with this year the giveaway being a cash draw of $25,000 across all the southern branches, and then each branch having its own separate $5000 draw in which attendance was mandatory in order to win the money.

“It’s been difficult to come up with something different every year,” Mr Jeans said.

To have been eligible for the prize money, participants had to ensure their May and June debtor accounts were cleared. For every $5000 spent or forward payment made, participants received one ticket in the draw.

The $25,000 prize went to Andrew and Karl Young of Redgold Pty Ltd, who are third-generation farmers from Robinvale. The $5000 prize drawn for Swan Hill Chemicals/Kerang Ag Supplies went to Gordon and Heather Smith, who are local sheep and lucerne farmers and have been customers of Swan Hill Chemicals for more than 40 years. The $5000 prize at Robinvale Ag Supplies went to Michael and Robert of A&T Galioto & Sons, while the $5000 at Mildura Ag Supplies went to Sam Romeo of Romeo Producers.

“It’s a bit hard because we can’t give everyone a prize,” Mr Jeans said.

“But there have been some very deserving prize winners, and all of our customer base is very loyal.”
