New equipment additions for smaller children

YOUNGER children are now kings of the playground after Gannawarra Council added more features to the all-abilities playground in Cohuna to appeal to smaller children.

“We have added a see-saw, toddler slide, log scramble climbing post and noughts and crosses wall”, Gannawarra Council manager of projects and property Wade Williams said.

“This equipment is all aimed at younger children.”

Families can now expect a safer playground for their young children.

“All equipment installed has been reviewed by a suitably qualified third-party accredited playground inspector before it became open to the public to use,” Mr Williams said.

“Families are benefiting from an inclusive all abilities play space aimed at children of all ages with a nature-based theme and feel, separating this play space from others.”

Meanwhile, Kerang’s all abilities playground is now complete and open for the public to use.
