“JUST keep getting up every day.”
That was the advice from 100-year-old Hilda Radcliffe when asked what the secret to her many years was.
“There’s no big secret – just keep on keeping on,” she told the Gannawarra Times.
Born and raised in Kerang, Mrs Radcliffe went to school at Lake Merran and completed high school in Kerang, before travelling to Melbourne to train as a nurse at The Royal Children’s Hospital.
She married Alex Radcliffe on March 8, 1947, and settled on a farm just outside of Kerang where they had three children – Helen, Wendy and Don.
Over the years Mrs Radcliffe has enjoyed playing netball, tennis and golf, as well as volunteering for various organisations across the community.
Mrs Radcliffe hit the centenary milestone on April 17, and celebrated with a birthday party with her family at the weekend, including her seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
